Youth Center Memberships
Memberships are for middle school students (NA residents) who want to come to the Youth Center and take advantage of the facilities, including the gymnasium, computer room, lounge, street hockey rink, rock wall, acres of outdoor space, and the weight room (weight room is for ages 13+). Members can attend the Youth Center Mondays-Fridays between 2:30-5:30pm (we also open at 11:30am on each month’s Half Day Wednesday!) There are days that the Youth Center won't be open, such as for holidays, school breaks, and inclement weather. This information will be communicated through emails to members and social media posts!
Members can drop in anytime in our open hours after school, participate in free drop-in activities and hang out with friends, and also can sign up for seasonal programs and field trips, some of which are free and some have an additional fee.
Your child can attend the Youth Center once without a membership to try it out, but then they must get a membership to continue attending, and to participate in any programs during the school year, unless otherwise noted! Once you have purchased a membership, the first time your middle schooler comes to the Youth Center, they should go to the front desk for a membership keytag that they will bring with them to sign in each time they come. The first week or two that we are open, we will be making a lot of keytags, so if they don't receive theirs on the first day they come, we will do our best to get it to them the next time! Once they have it, they should bring their keytag every time they come - if they lose it, it is $3 for a replacement!
It is $140 for the membership for the 2025-2026 school year! Please contact Demi at dmarsh@nayouth.com if you are in need of financial assistance. The membership is now pro-rated to $65 for the remainder of the school year. Please visit online registration below to sign up your middle schooler!
In terms of transportation, many members walk from the Middle School to the Youth Center after school. For those with a NAPS bus pass, there are some buses that stop at the Youth Center as they're going by, and your child can get on one of those buses with a special YC bus pass. For more information, please contact Lucy McCarthy at the North Andover Public Schools Transportation Department by email at mccarthyl@northandoverpublicschools.com.
There is also an additional transportation option through MeVa Transit. Students are able to take the #3 MeVa bus from NAMS to the Youth Center. NAPS and NAYRS have been working together with MeVa Transit to provide free public transportation from NAMS to the Youth Center whenever school is in session. The free public MeVa bus picks up along Main Street in front of NAMS at the two times of approximately 2:33-2:35pm and 3:03-3:05pm each weekday, and diverts from it's normal route to drop off on Andover Street near the rotary around 5 minutes later, before continuing on its route. One of our staff stands at the drop-off area to direct kids behind Cows Rock towards the Youth Center. MeVa Transit drivers are professional CDL drivers with active CORI certificates, and all buses are equipped with interior cameras that record video and audio. Many MeVa drivers start as school bus drivers before completing the additional certification to drive a MeVa bus. MeVa also has professional road supervisors on staff who are available to provide road support any time a MeVa bus is in service.
Programs
We will have many free drop-in activities going on everyday that our members are here, those are written everyday on a whiteboard in the lobby. We also have some Fall Programs that require registration. Those are listed on the Fall Programs page of our website. Some of these programs and field trips will fill up quickly!
We have separate pages for each of our seasonal programs!
Online Registration (Link to our Online Registration Portal)
If you don't have an account on our portal yet, when setting up an online account, the parent/guardian should be the Account Holder, with the child/children as Account Members. Convenience fees will apply to online transactions. There are no refunds. If you are in need of financial assistance, or have any questions about online registration or programs/memberships, please contact Demi at dmarsh@nayouth.com.
All of our programs, field trips and events during the school year are open to Youth Center members, unless otherwise stated. Our Summer Programs are open to members and non-members. For all memberships, programs, field trips and events, you must be a North Andover resident.
