This can be done in place of signing up in person, beginning Monday 11/27 at 9:00am! If you haven't used our online registration before, sign your child up as a participant after signing in. Our online registration accepts Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, and ACH. Convenience fees apply.
Members can join in on different activities every day starting at 3:00pm. No need to sign up in advance, just check the board at the front desk and listen for the announcement! These programs are a surprise each day, are run by our part-time and full-time staff, and include anything from Chess and Carpet Ball, to Street Hockey and Football, to Cracker Barrel, Awesomeball and Gaga!

Homework Help – Mondays and Tuesdays starting 11/27 from 2:30-4:00 - Cost: Free! Need help from a high school volunteer on your latest assignment? Looking for a quiet space to get your homework done before Youth Center activities? Our conference room will have drop-in homework help on Monday and Tuesday afternoons this winter! Space is limited to 10 to the room at a time. No advanced registration necessary.
Youth Center Dance Club – Mondays 12/11 - 2/26 from 3:15-4:00 - Cost: Free! Part-time staff member Nicole and NAHS student Christina will be teaching technique and choreography of all different styles of dance! Each week will feature a different genre, including Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Ballet, Contemporary, and much more. Nicole and Christina each have an impressive and comprehensive dance background and can’t wait to share their knowledge with you. Beginners and experienced dancers alike will find this program motivating, challenging, and fun! Space is limited to 12.
Winter Survival Skills – Mondays 1/22, 1/29 and 2/5 from 3:00-4:30 - Cost: $75/members, $80/non-members Join Justin and former Army Ranger Jake King in learning outdoor winter survival skills. Learn and practice aspects of survival, such as mindset, building shelters, building fires, tool making, and more! Space is limited to 13.
Step Up – Tuesdays 12/5 - 3/13 from approx. 3:00-4:30 - Cost: Free! Join the winter session of our community service group for middle school girls! This session we will be breaking into two groups, one of 6th & 7th graders, and one for 8th graders. The Step Up groups take volunteer trips to organizations like Project Home Again, Lazarus House Family Shelter, and the Cor Unum Meal Center, as well as coming together to work on projects/activities at the Youth Center. Space is limited to 13 girls for each group. Group 6th & 7th meets 12/5, 12/12, 1/2, 1/16, 1/30, 2/13, 2/20, and 3/6. Group 8th meets 12/5, 12/19, 1/9, 1/23, 2/6, 2/20, 2/27, and 3/13. 6th & 7th Grade full, still space in 8th!
Emily's Art Studio – Wednesdays 12/6 - 1/31 from 3:00-4:00 - Cost: $10/members, $15/non-members Join part-time staff member/art enthusiast Emily for an 8-week art program at the Youth Center. All experience levels welcome; let your artistic minds and masterpieces be molded by our resident artiste. Space is limited to 12.
SOLD OUT! Kickboxing – Thursdays 1/4 - 2/8 from 3:15-3:45 - Cost: Free! Join Demi and Laura to learn self-defense skills, and get a great workout! Members will participate in strength and conditioning exercises, and learn the basics of kickboxing on punching bags. Space is limited to 6.
SOLD OUT! Indoor Surfing – Wednesday 12/13 (Early Release) from 1:15-5:30 - Cost: $55/members, $60/non-members Join us for a fun filled day at Skyventure Surf’s Up New Hampshire. Learn to surf indoors at one of the best indoor surfing facilities in New England. We will also be boogie boarding! All equipment will be provided. Space is limited to 13.
SOLD OUT! Altitude – Tuesday 1/9 from 3:00-6:00 - Cost: $35/members, $40/non-members Come to Altitude’s indoor trampoline park! The day will be full of jumping, rock walls, foam pits, and trampoline basketball! Space is limited to 13.
SOLD OUT! Pottery on the Wheel at Essex Art Center – Wednesdays 1/10 and 1/24 (Early Release) from 2:00-4:00 - Cost: $55/members, $60/non-members Join Laura for two afternoons of building and glazing your own clay creations! We will learn to hand-build items with clay, and we will also learn how to throw and spin clay on the potter’s wheel! On our second visit, we will perfect and paint our items. You will return home with at least two pieces of your own pottery. Space is limited to 7.
SOLD OUT! Night Skiing – Saturday 1/27 from 2:00-9:30 - Cost: $40/members, $45/non-members Join Justin for a fun filled Saturday night ski trip at Gunstock Mountain. This trip includes ski ticket, rental equipment, lesson tips, and 2 runs on Gunstock’s tubing park! Feel free to squad up and bring your friends! Space is limited to 12.
SOLD OUT! Boston Rock Gym – Thursday 2/8 from 3:00-6:00 - Cost: $30/members, $35/non-members Join us for a day at Boston Rock Gym for a day of climbing fun and conquering challenging rock walls! No rock wall experience is needed. From beginners to veterans, this unique gym will push anyone to their absolute limit! Space is limited to 13.
SOLD OUT! Tubing at Amesbury Sports Park – Friday 2/2 from 2:30-6:30 - Cost: $30/members, $35/non-members Hit top speeds down one of New England’s premier tubing parks in Amesbury! Grab some friends and race downhill for a fun-packed afternoon with Kyle! Space is limited to 12 boys and girls.
SOLD OUT! UMass Lowell vs. Merrimack Hockey Game – Saturday 2/24 from 6:00-10:30 - Cost: $20/members, $25/non-members Join Kyle at the Tsongas Center in Lowell to watch the UMass Lowell Riverhawks take on the Merrimack Warriors in some Division 1 Hockey action! Space is limited to 12.
SOLD OUT! Escapology – Thursday 3/1 from 3:00-6:00 - Cost: $40/members, $45/non-members Join us at Escapology, a brand new escape/adventure facility. Brainstorm and work as a team to overcome the multiple riddles and puzzles in order to solve the final mystery! Space is limited to 6.
SOLD OUT! Boda Borg – Wednesday 3/14 from 1:15-5:30 - Cost: $30/members, $35/non-members Boda Borg is a real-world gaming environment. Teams of 3-5 move through different Quests tackling a variety of mental and physical challenges. Success in the first challenge means entry into the next challenge, and so on. Failure in any challenge means starting over or selecting another Quest. Space is limited to 13.

Half Day Contests – All Collab Days at 2:00! - Join Kyle in the gym for contests such as skills, 3-point shootouts, half-court shot, knockout and more on collab days!
Movie Knights – Fridays 12/1, 1/19 and 2/23 - Join Kyle on Fridays for Movie Knights on the big screen in the Gym! Free admission and free popcorn available! Movies TBD!
7th Grade Dance – Friday 12/15 from 7:00-9:30 - Cost: $7/members, $10/non-members
8th Grade Dress-up Dance – Friday 1/26 from 7:30-10:30 - Cost: $10/members, $15/non-members
Curling Tournament – Wednesday 2/7 from 3:00-4:00 - Cost: Free! Participate in our fun version of Olympic curling on the outdoor skating rink! Sign up solo or with a partner with the registration form at the desk starting Weds 1/31!
Winter Classic – Friday 2/9 from 3:30-6:00 - Cost: $3/members, $5/non-members The first annual Youth Center Winter Classic! We will be having a 3 vs. 3 ice hockey tournament under the lights at the YC. Music and hot chocolate will be available as well! Gather your friends and make your own team with a maximum of 4 people. If you cannot assemble a team, don’t worry! We will be happy to find one for you! Sign up sheets will be located at the front desk.
Video Game Night – Friday 2/16 from 4:00-5:30 - Cost: Free! Come play Rocket League on our Big Screen in the YC Gymnasium. You can make your own team of two, if you do not have a teammate we will find one for you! Sign up sheets will be located at the front desk!
Helping Hands Manicure Day – Wednesday 2/28 from 1:30-3:30 - Cost: $5 donation to American Cancer Society Get your nails done by a high school student for a great cause! Members of the Youth Center leadership group Helping Hands will be giving manicures for $5. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society! Look for the registration form at the front desk starting February 5, or contact Laura to sign up!
6th Grade Dance – Friday 3/2 from 7:00-9:30 - Cost: $7/members, $10/non-members
Leadership Groups: We will be continuing with meetings and activities for our three leadership groups: Helping Hands, Freshmen/Sophomore Youth Council, and Junior/Senior Youth Council. Applicants are chosen at the beginning of each year, and work on projects as a group during the school year. Keep an eye out for information on how to help these groups make a difference in our community, including supporting our Helping Hands crew fundraise their way to the Merrimack Valley Relay for Life!
Black Knights 3 vs. 3 Basketball – Mondays starting 12/11 from 5:30-8:00 - Cost: Free/members, $60/non-members Join the 3 vs. 3 high school basketball league! Play with your friends and win it all! The league is for high schoolers who are NOT playing Freshman, JV, or Varsity Basketball at the high school. You can pay as an individual online, but we do need a form for your team! Teen Job Fair – Wednesday 3/7 from 6:00-8:00 - Cost: Free! High schoolers: looking to get a local part-time job for the spring, summer, or beyond? Here’s a chance to come to the Youth Center and network with a variety of businesses and organizations seeking part-time employees. Ask questions, pass out resumes, and fill out applications! Past businesses that have attended include Community Programs, the YMCA, Launch Trampoline Park, The Loft, Jose Fish, Heavnly and many more!
