Duties: This committee is responsible for serving as a liaison with Town boards and committees that have a role in implementing the Master Plan. It will encourage boards and committees to adopt a process for reviewing and including Master Plan goals and recommendations into their regular meeting processes. It is responsible for working with the relevant Town departments to review the Master Plan implementation charts created and updated by staff and for giving bi-annual progress updates (or more, as needed) to the Planning Board and Select Board. Working collaboratively with staff, it is responsible for public education about the Master Plan implementation process, including creating user friendly metrics and documents. The Master Plan Implementation Committee may create subcommittees to advance recommendations in the Master Plan. The Committee is responsible for conducting its activities in a manner in which is in compliance with all relevant state and local laws and regulations including, but not limited to the open meeting law, ethics laws and public records law.
